Hi Reader,
Let’s talk about “best practices.” In particular, e-mail marketing best practices!
You know the ones I mean... the rules we’re told to follow in email marketing, launches, sales. Like:
- Structure your launch sequence to present the offer from different angles as people need to hear the message more than once.
- Stick to a single call to action... too many choices reduce clicks and confuse readers.
- Send multiple reminder emails on the final day to maximise conversions.
The truth is… those “rules” work.
I know they work, because every time I’ve followed them, I’ve had someone write to me saying,
“Thank you so much for the reminder, I almost missed this.”
Or
“I’m so glad you sent that final email. I wasn’t sure, but I joined last minute and it was exactly what I needed.”
That’s why I’ve leaned into them, especially in the run-up to something like the Ecamm Live Accelerator, which starts next week.
When something could be transformational, I want to make sure people don’t miss it.
But I also know this: Some of you are not interested.
- Maybe not in transforming your video presence.
- Maybe just not in this course.
- Maybe just not right now.
And maybe you’re getting frustrated.
Not because I’m sending emails, but because I’m sending emails that don’t apply to you right now, and you’re thinking,
“I love Alec’s stuff, but I don’t need this.”
So here’s what I’m doing differently from now on.
💡 A Big Button That Says: “Not This Time”
Every launch sequence email I send will have two buttons:
- ✅ Learn More About It
- 🚫 Not Interested This Time
If you click “Not this time,” you won’t get any more emails about that particular course, launch, or program.
You’ll still get my newsletters.
You’ll still hear about future things.
You’re not unsubscribing from everything, but rather just saying:
“This isn’t for me right now.”
Why am I doing this?
- Because you deserve that option.
- Because I don’t want to clutter your inbox.
- Because respecting your attention is just as important as delivering value.
Frankly, I’m sorry I didn’t think of this sooner.
We’re all flooded with information. We don’t need more noise. We need clarity, control, and trust.
So, if you’re not interested in the Ecamm Live Accelerator, feel free to click that big button next time you see it. No hard feelings, no silent unsubscribes, no drama.
And if you are interested… well, we start Monday, and I’d love to see you inside. You'll find more details down below!
Either way, I’m grateful you’re here.
Apart from the Ecamm Accelerator, if I can ever be of any help, just hit reply! Talk soon, Alec.
